Story
We as a family are hoping to raise £1000 to support Capshard Primary School to provide amazing resources and experiences in their nurture spaces to help little ones with their sensory needs that need that little bit of extra support in school.
For anyone that knows our little girl Ivy she is an amazing little human that has a love for life and a laugh and smile that melts your heart. She is a Hey Duggee loving, little mermaid, that loves swimming, crafts and anything messy. She is also non verbal and on the autism pathway and can sometimes struggle with sensory issues and finds social situations and large crowds overwhelming.
Ivy is a pupil at Capshard Primary School and they have done amazing things to make sure she is happy, settled and thriving.
Cameron and I had Ivy’s review meeting at school last week and we wanted to do something amazing for the school as they are being so good with Ivy, in meeting her needs. So along with her massive squad of aunties, uncles and cousins, Ivy is going to take part in a family fundraising activity during Autism Month on April 18th. We are going to do a big family 5k walk, back and forward twice along the Kirkcaldy prom, I know it’s not hard for most of our family, but for little Ivy, it definitely will be.
We want the money to stay local, and want to donate it to the nurture rooms and sensory spaces at Capshard Primary School. Ivy has everything she needs between us and school, but some little toots in our catchment don’t, and with the upcoming budget cuts it might be an area where schools struggle.
