Story

In September 2024 I will be embarking on a once in a lifetime trip to Tanzania, where I will spend time volunteering at the Huruma Orphanage. Courtesy of my employer, Capital International, myself and 11 other colleagues have been given the opportunity to travel to Africa and help make an impact at the Huruma Orphanage.

The Huruma Orphanage is an incredible institution which acts as a nurturing home for around 35 children of varying ages. Established in 2012, the Orphanage has since grown enabling the children to receive access to educational facilities and vocational training as well as providing them with a safe place to sleep and food on the table. However, they need our help in order to sustain their resources and ensure that it can continue to act as a safe haven for many years to come.

I will be taking part in the 2024 Parish Walk where I will be competing in the Under 21 race to Peel as well as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, all in aid of the Huruma Orphanage.

I kindly ask you to donate to this truly worthwhile cause, no amount is too small. Donations will go directly towards restoring the orphanage, whether this be renovating the living quarters, improving educational facilities, or providing vital resources to help the children integrate back into society and give them the opportunity of a better life. Your donation will make a huge impact on these children’s lives.

I thank you for taking the time to read this and hope that you do consider donating to this meaningful cause and supporting me in my fundraising plans, any amount will not go unappreciated.
