Well, I have been busy adding up all of the reading that Year 1 did over the Christmas holidays and I am delighted to be able to tell you that THEY'VE DONE IT!!!!!! They have read over 1000 times and I am so proud of them and of the amount of money they have raised. Well done Year 1, you have done really well. From Mrs Cruse

Gosh, Year 1 have been very busy reading this week. They managed to read another 151 times! They have now read 545 times so are over half way to their target of 1000 time before the end of the year. I have told the children that I will give them bonus reads if they can remember our new sounds after the holidays. Thank you to everyone who has supported our challenge. The children are very excited by how much money they have raised for the park.

We have now been reading as much as possible for 3 weeks. We have managed to read 421 times so far. We will keep on reading as much as possible even though it is nearly the end of term and we are getting tired!
