André Le Geyt & Melissa Alves are on a mission to complete the El Tico Heritage Paddle Race on the Healing Waves Adaptive Surfboard!
They are doing this to raise awareness and funds for Healing Waves, a local charity in Jersey that assists those living with disabilities and conditions both neurological and physical to access the ocean and try water sports.
I really can’t fault Healing Waves in any way, I highly recommend them to anyone that you think would benefit from their service, they are simply amazing! I had the best morning and I haven’t stopped speaking about it to everyone. My favourite thing to now say is that…. I WENT SURFING!!
The El Tico HERITAGE PADDLE RACE 2018
7th July @ 12:00 - Wayside Slip, St Brelades to El Tico, St Ouen's Bay.
5 mile endurance course passing through the Corbiere causeway. 5 categories - Out Riggers, Racing Skiis,Rescue Board, Longboard, Kayak and SUP... Bring a bright rash vest. Check in at Wayside slip at 40mins before start time. See beach marshals to complete entry forms. Competitor/Safety briefing 20mins before start time. Photocall 10mins before start. Countdown to Le Mans style start.
