I've raised £4000 to help provide a financial education to children and increase access to education

As a non-profit membership organisation, it's through education that the IAB provide members with the support and the ability to succeed.
Our Environmental, Social and Governance goals are focused around Creating a Sustainable Future through Education. We align our work and efforts in sustainability with the United Nations’ 17
Sustainable Development Goals https://sdgs.un.org/goals specifically goal number 4, Quality Education
In November this year IAB COO Sarah Palmer and Head of Communications Tom Saltmarsh are both running the 2023 New York Marathon to raise money for the Bhuvkarma Foundation in India and the Skyte Trust in the UK.
The Skyte Trust focused primarily but not exclusively in the inner North Leeds area aims to promote, sustain, and increase access to education, knowledge, and skills to those who without financial assistance may be denied access, and to increase social mobility by enabling future potential of an individual to be realised. Through their efforts in the marathon Sarah and Tom will aim to generate funds to help buy laptops for individuals to support them on their educational journey.
In November 2022, the IAB embarked upon a partnership with the Bhuvkarma Foundation in Southern India on a Sustainable Education program. The IAB role in working with the foundation is to help support and provide a financial education to children. Equipping them with a set of skills they take forward into their personal and professional development. To date we have provided them with access to our entry level qualifications and given them access to textbooks. Our future projects include a water purification unit for the school and a school bus. Sarah and Tom’s efforts will contribute towards these goals.
Any monies raised will be distributed equally between these two charities.
