Story

For some time, Iain and Becks have been exploring the idea of moving to Namibia to get involved with longer term ministry. Iain and Becks are both passionate about the gospel of Jesus Christ being shared and desire this to inform a large part of their work in Namibia.

They have recently been accepted as Candidates by Africa Inland Mission (AIM). The strategy of the team in Namibia is to identify, train and support local Christians to be disciple makers and leaders in their communities by modelling an active, transformed lifestyle while teaching, serving, and living in local communities. Becks plans on serving through family and child support and Iain by providing veterinary services to remote communities. As a Vet registered with the Namibian Veterinary Council, Iain would be able to quickly get up to speed serving local communities in this way.

As part of the process of considering long term overseas work, AIM have recommended Iain and Becks to visit the regions in question for a 2-week scoping trip. In August, Iain and Becks hope to fly out to Namibia to meet with those already involved in the work ministry. And to explore the part of Namibia that they would hope to live and work in.

We would be immensely grateful for your support, particularly through prayer as we contemplate this transition, and financially to facilitate the upcoming scoping trip.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any queries or require further information.
