Story

The future of Saints Sled Dog Rescue - what do we want and what do we need from you?

Our vision for is the Saints rescue, boarding, rehabilitation and education centre.

We plan to purchase existing boarding kennels to run as a business which will provide an income for the rescue, within the kennels we will have a number of rescue kennels which will focus on the sled dog breed.

The centre will also include the following (all within 5 years)

* pet food and accessories shop
* hydrotherapy pool
* grooming salon
* indoor dog training ring and agility
* doggy day care
* outdoor dog training field and agility

We then hope to include the following (within 10 years)

* husky and malamute meet and greet see the dogs in secure enclosed fields as well as up close and personal
* watch the teams harness up and train (viewing platforms will be available) winter times only
* learn about the history of the breeds
* view on cameras the rescue dogs in kennels to show how many are dumped daily
* walk through the hall of rescue dogs saved.
* cafe
* children's play area and picnic tables

For us to complete the plan we are looking for a large property with land, unfortunately this can be expensive and to obtain the mortgage we need to offer a larger deposit to secure our mortgage. A donation however small will help us to secure the deposit needed.

Thank you
