Story

I am going to walk barefoot 80miles from
Schiphol to Helmond Sport in the Netherlands for the
Liberation of Europe 80th Anniversary in May this year.
We are taking 2000 Poppies on behalf of the Royal British Legion.
We shall be laying 6 wreaths at various services in memory of our fallen & to acknowledge the loss of innocent individuals who died in the conflict of war.

Raising much needed funds for
Casual Minds Matter & Helmond to provide free Counselling & welfare support for ex - service men, women & veterans of our armed forces, past & present.

Our ex-service men & women are being let down by our own governments infastructure & policies.

They are being left to struggle in society
which leaves them vulnerable in so many ways.
In one report alone, it found that,
Thirty-eight per cent of veterans had a code on their medical record for a common mental health disorder. The highest disorder prevalence was depression at 18%, followed by alcohol misuse at 17%, anxiety 15%, post-traumatic stress disorder was 3% and dementia 2%.

I intend to raise funds for the ex- veterans of our forces who served the Netherlands & the UK so well.
Where over 480,000 service men & women need our support in the UK
Where since 1994 - 2022, 50 veterans a year have taken their own lives.

If we can help between us & through Casual Minds Matter & Helmond Sport in the Netherlands save one life or put one individual on the path to recovery, then we have achieved something.

Please help by supporting a worthy cause.
Regards Ian
