I'm raising £5500 to support Bowel Cancer West and Penhaligon’s Friend's

Story

On September 5th Clayton, Ian, Josh and Dylan will be taking on the challenge of cycling over 1000 miles from John O Groats to Lands End ticking it off our bucket list and trying to raise money for two great charities at the same time, cycling the route self supported and carrying our own equipment on the bikes! Hoping to set up camp each night on camp sites as we work our way down through the country.

We already have four businesses that have offered to sponsor us to help cover the cost of the ride so we can concentrate on the ride and raising money for our charities.

A massive thank you to Mix 4 You Concrete, Vincent Tractors, RNR Construction and Kreftor Carpentry & Construction. Thank you for your generosity.

Our chosen charities, our stories,

Ian and Dylan

Bowel Cancer West

We have chosen this charity following the loss of David Waller and Gareth Jones,

David a father in-law and Grandad to us we lost 20 years ago and Gareth a best friend and god father we lost 10 years ago. Both will be in our thoughts every turn of the wheel. Both were taken too soon from our family, with the illness so we want to put something into the charity to try and help people and save lives.

Clayton

I’m taking on this sponsored ride in memory of my sister, Becky.

Ten years have passed since we lost her, but not a day goes by without thinking of her. The love, memories and the space she left behind remain part of our lives every day.

When our family was going through the darkest of times, Penhaligon’s Friends provided support, understanding and compassion when we needed it most. Their work helps children, young people and families across Cornwall cope with the heartbreak of bereavement, ensuring that no one has to face grief alone.

This ride is my way of honouring Becky’s memory and giving something back to a charity that means so much to our family.

Josh

Penhaligon’s has provided invaluable support to members of our family, so we wanted to give something back to help them continue the incredible work they do. As a father myself it is reassuring to know that, if the worst were ever to happen, charities like Penhaligon’s would be there to support my family and so many others throughout Cornwall during their most difficult times.

Any donation, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated and will help Bowel Cancer West and Penhaligon’s Friends, continue supporting people and families through some of the most difficult times of their lives.

Thank you for your support. ❤️

Clayton, Ian, Josh and Dylan.
