Since The Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal was launched it has helped fund PSA tests for hundreds of men in Lancashire.
The first event at Turf Moor, Burnley tested 404 men of which 350 returned a safe 'Green' result, 16 'Amber' and 38 'RED' with 9% advised to see their GP.
A similar event at Deepdale, Preston North End, saw 296 men tested with 245 'Green', 5 'Amber' and 19 'RED' with 8% advised to see their GP.
A 'RED' result indicates their results were significantly outside the normal range - a fact that they were totally unaware of.
The tests are not cheap so by donating today you will help us to host more of these extremely worthwhile testing events.
For my part and around another 20 cyclists, we have volunteered to ride the 270 miles or so from Turf Moor Burnley to Bounemouth FC for the last away game of this seasons Premier league.
