Story
Hi, I'm Ian and having gone through the 180 programme, I'm now a mentor for others coming through.
I feel now would be a great chance for me to show my gratitude to a great cause. In doing so testing myself phsically and mentally , and so I shall be doing a sponsored walk 127 miles Liverpool to Leeds along the canal to say Thankyou 180 project.
The 180 Project is a community recovery programme, unlike anything else for those recovering from addiction problems in the UK. They use an adapted CrossFit fitness programme, combined with life coaching and workshops covering a range of topics including; nutrition, sleep, relaxation, relationships and citizenship to achieve total wellness of body, mind and spirit. Participants are supported to become the best version of themselves.
As the impact of COVID-19 continues to unfold, it is vital that The 180 Project is able to continue to support the most vulnerable in our society, those with deteriorating mental and physical health and at risk of relapse, overdose or suicide.
The project helped me in many ways; rebuilding my confidence, self-worth and giving me hope for the future which why I’ve decided to fundraise in their name. On the 7th August I will be setting off hopefully completing it in 4 to 5 days.
Your donations, however great or small, will help to save and transform lives those lives, providing a way out of addiction. Thank you.
