Story

I'm aiming to raise funds for mental health charities MIND and PAPYRUS, as well as funds for the Kirkby Lonsdale RUFC Colts,a team that my son Max plays for and a team that I help to coach. This initiative will split the funds 50/50 between charity and the team.

I will be walking 30 miles from Coniston in the Lake District to Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club on the 1st November 2025 and would welcome support from anyone who wishes to join me along the way.

Rugby has a profound impact on mental health by fostering a strong sense of belonging, purpose, and support through team camaraderie and community involvement. KLRUFC plays a vital role in our community.

I have experienced recent personal challenges with my mental health and have also witnessed how many men, particularly young men, struggle with their mental wellbeing. This is true in our community.

Our club aims to provide essential support networks. The team environment—ranging from structured training sessions to post-match social events—cultivates a strong sense of community and purpose, aiming to combat loneliness and isolation.

I invite you to join me in this important cause by supporting my fundraising efforts. Your contribution will not only aid vital mental health charities but also empower our local youth through sport.
