    Story

This all began many years ago....

When i completed the coast to coast cycle ride at school. Since then I’ve toyed with the idea of completing the walk. And after may years of allowing life to get in the way I’ve decided why not.

I’d also like to say thank you for reading my page.

    Why?

As this is such a monumental challenge for me complete ive decided to try to support a local clothing bank who provide help, support and much, much more to my nearby community. They provide 2nd hand clothing, toiletries, uniform for school children and much more To those who are on benefit, sanctioned or struggling with low income work no matter the background. please feel free to have a look at The County Durham Community Clothing Bank web page https://www.cdsclothingbank.co.uk

    The Challenge

The coast to coast walk is a 180 mile long distance walk that was created the the iconic walker Alfred Wainwright in 1974. This walk stars at St. Bees on the west coast to Robin Hoods Bay on the east. Crossing through 3 national parks. This is my first long distance walk. The plan is to complete the walk in 8 days which will average at upto 28 miles per day. Having now completed all the planning and collected almost all the things i will need all that is. Ow left to do is finalise the dates for the walk.
