I've raised £1000 to support all the great work the PGA Benevolent Fund (a charity not yet registered with Just Giving) offers.

Story

I am raising money for the PGA Benevolent Fund which is important to me because it largely supports those individuals and their families that have fallen victim to life threating illnesses. The PGA have already lost three men under the age of 30 due to illnesses such as Cancer in 2018. One of these three gentlemen was the only financial provider for his family. Now losing a father and a husband so young is hard enough, but being left in a position where you simply cannot afford to pay for the funeral does not even begin to bear thinking about.

However, this is just one example of the fantatsic support the PGA Benevolent Fund offers individuals and their families and on this particular occasion the family was able to say goodbye properly.

In an attempt to raise as much money for the PGA Benevolent Fund as possible, I will be taking part in a Tough Mudder event on the Saturday 7th July. This is a gruelling 10 mile assault course through 20+ obstacals which includes wading through -5 degree pools, gliding through mud pits and getting electrocuted whilst completing a 20 metre dash to the finish line through live wire cables for good measure.

It will be tough but totally worth it if we can raise lots of cash for the PGA Benevolent Fund in order to help those that have fallen on hard times.

Any donation you can you can afford will be hugely appreciated.

Many thanks

Ian
