Story
On 1st December 2024, a team of 10 individuals, including myself, will embark on a challenging journey to row across the Atlantic from Tenerife to Antigua. We anticipate being at sea for approximately 40 to 45 days, rowing 5 x people at a time, in shifts of 3 hours on and 3 hours off, fueled by dried food ration packs.
This expedition is expected to be the toughest, most uncomfortable, and scariest yet most exhilarating and rewarding adventure of our lives.
Our landing point on Antigua is situated near the beautiful but relatively poor island of Montserrat, a British Overseas Territory devastated by a volcanic eruption in 1998 from which it is still seeking to recover.
During my time working there, I had the privilege of meeting the dedicated individuals supporting the Montserrat Children's Society, which aids vulnerable children with urgent health, social or educational needs.
The society works tirelessly to secure the well-being of children in Montserrat and protect them from all forms of harm.
I am hoping to raise £3,000 for this cause, equivalent to £1 for each mile we row.
Your donation will make a significant difference in removing barriers for children with disabilities who require specific assistance to be fully included within Montserrat society.
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page and considering supporting this important cause.
