The Story

After a long wait and lots of saving, Ian and Hannah were due to get married earlier this year. Unfortunatley, COVID-19 hit and put thier plans on hold. Tragically, they have now received news that their venue has gone into administration and they have most probably lost their money.

HOWEVER...

We can help! If everybody were to donate some money (perhaps the money that you would have spent on a gift) then we could get their day back up and running!

I‘m donating because I want them to have the day that they deaerve. It may be that they have to alter the guest list, so I understand that giving money doesn‘t guarantee me a part in the big day. As far as I am concerned, my money will go to whatever they want.

What will happen to your donation

As this is not a regustered charity, funds need to be paid into a UK bank account. I have set up a new account for this purpose. No other monies will enter or leave this account. Once we have closed the page, I will transfer the money to Ian and Hannah, along with any messages that have been posted on this page from people who have donated. 100% of your money (after JustGivin admin fees - see T&Cs) will be given to Ian and Hannah.

Donating to a personal account can be concerning - there are lots of horror stories of people running off with the money. By way of reassurance, my name is James Oakley and I work with Hannah. I am headteacher of Mendip Green Primary School. My job and position in the community rely on me being trustworthy - I‘d certainly struggle to ‘do a runner’!!
