Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Hello I'm Ian and I'm 53 live in liverpool and have recently lost my job. I've applied for 223 vacancies since mid May of this year and have, to date, received 6 replies, all rejections. I come from the biotech industry and from my research there are many relevant vacancies in Ireland.
I'm looking for your help to raise £2000 to finance a move to Ireland to secure work. The money would be broken down as follows :
1. Approx £600 for a deposit on a flat
2. Approx £600 first month rent
3. The remaining funds for food, travel to interviews etc...
Guys, there are many, many more deserving causes to fund than mine, I fully appreciate this. All I'm asking if you decide not to contribute pass it on to your social media followers. This project can be achieved by donating coppers, its not a huge amount but would mean a huge amount to me and make a huge difference to my life.
If I manage to reach the target my offer to the community is this, within 12 months of securing a job i will donate the same amount to worthy causes on this site.
I do not have the finances to cover a move but the responses I'm getting from employers in ireland is very positive. I still feel I have much to offer and contribute to an employer. I'd love a fresh start and to feel like I'm a valid employee again. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
