I've raised £1200 to Support Sefton Royal Marines Cadets.

In April 2022 my son George and I will be taking on the iconic Marathon des Sables ultramarathon.
The MDS has been described by Discovery Channel as the "toughest foot race on Earth". Competitors have to battle across a 155 mile / 250 km course (including a 51mile / 82 km stage) over 6 days in the Sahara Desert in Morocco. In addition, competitors have to carry their own food, water, and kit for the race and endure temperatures as high as 45°C (120°F). Its the only race with compulsory repatriation insurance and a venom pump as part of the mandatory kit.
We are running the MDS because not only is it a once in a lifetime challenge and opportunity which will test us to our physical and mental limits. But more importantly we are running to raise money for Sefton Royal Marines Cadets and The Royal Marines Charity.
George was a Royal Marines Cadet and benefited greatly from his membership.
Today's world is tougher on teenagers. In a changing, often overwhelming world, too many teenagers are struggling. Feeling hopeless, lonely, a failure already. By supporting the Royal Marines Cadets you can help change this.
So please, please, please dig deep and donate now.
Pls note that all monies raised will be going directly to the charities as we are self funding our participation in the race.
