Monique and Ellis Wood will be taking part in the 12Km Ibiza Marathon on Saturday 6th April 2019. Neither of them have ever run a long distance or any race for that matter but this year marks a year of personal victories.

Aside from the physical challenge they would like to take this opportunity to raise funds for two chosen charities close to their hearts.

St. Andrews Hospice, Grimsby, U.K. - Sadly in this day in age we can say that we have all been impacted by the loss of so many loved ones who have battled and/or continue to battle the fight against Cancer. This year marks 40 years of continued support and care to Cancer patients some of which being very dear to both Monique and Ellis.

La Nucia Animal Rescue Shelter, La Nucia, Spain - There are many wonderful dog charities throughout Spain however, this specific organisation sits within their hearts after they adopted their two furry boys, Bingo and Kipper, who they now couldn't imagine life without! Sadly there are so many doggies like Bingo and Kipper that all deserve a fighting chance of a forever home.

Monique and Ellis are hoping to raise as much money as they can to then split equally between the two.

Please find it within your hearts to encourage them by donating to these worthy causes. They are both excited and nervous but with your support they are sure to do it!
