I've raised £10000 to support people struggling with their mental health and wellbeing through Drop In's, 1:1 sessions, Challenges and mini adventures

I Choose Life was born from a sleepless night in late 2018, thinking about what I could do to support those around me I loved and cared for who wanted to take their own lives.
I can’t go on, what’s the point, I just want to die, I’ve lost everything, just put me out of my misery, were just some of the heart wrenching words that were being spoken.
I couldn’t fix it for them, I couldn’t take away their pain or change things that had happened. I wanted to, I really did. If only I had a magic wand that would make it all go away, stop the hurting, take away the heaviness that had stolen their smiles. I would have done anything to have been able to do that for them.
But I couldn’t, it had to be their choice. All I knew was, it was possible to smile again, feel joy and have the lightness return and not only that, it would feel better than before. I know, because I've done it.
Our Vision is to create a safe environment where people feel they belong and together we can all find our purpose. A community of people who can thrive, not just survive.
We offer a variety of sessions including free weekly drop ins, 1:1 sessions, telephone help line. At I Choose Life Foundation we do things differently and can see the huge benefits of getting individuals outdoors, moving and into nature. We offer Mini Adventures like sun rises, star gazing, picnics. We also offer our 12 week challenges where we take a group of people to train for a challenge, supporting each other, educate them about their own mental health and wellbeing.
