I've raised £10000 to Provide rescue, relief and rehabilitation to Cyclone IDAI sufferers

Cyclone IDAI is one of the worst natural disaster's to hit the Southern Hemisphere in recorded history.
Local reports estimate thousands of deaths by wind and flooding. Due to the lack of basic infrastructure in Mozambique the threat of water borne diseases like cholera and malaria will be the second tragedy to hit the already impoverished areas affected.
Adam Humphreys and Sarah Birkett of SUSSURRO (LDA) Mozambique are taking responsibility for collecting of funds raised with help from our international and local network. The monies raised will go directly towards helping Mozambican villages affected through the various stages of recovery. We plan to begin with the Búzi area, where 5000-6000 displaced sufferers are currently located without access to basic survival requirements.
This will start with family food parcels containing: sugar, oil, salt, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and capulanas. Drinking water and beans in 50kg sacks will be used in bulk feeding.
Life saving emergency support will be given to rural Mutimbiri area, helping provide access to medical supplies such as malaria tests and treatment, emergency medical kits, sanitation and 30+ tonnes of food aid distribution via boats to previously unaccessible communities.
We are apportioning any remaining funds after our emergency relief work to support the communities through further sanitation and disease prevention (Mosquito nets, water purification tablets, specific varied nutrition and medication etc.) from a grassroots level (ie. distributed personally.) We have identified refugee families in this area that will benefit from long term assistance in the rebuilding of their homes and lives and we are committed to supporting their rehabilitation through this fund and in the future through our own means as a business and individuals.
Thank you for your support!
