Story

Ide Primary School's journey with Computing has been ever-evolving. We have replaced broken laptops, created a new ICT suite and bought Kindles for each class over the past few years, with the support of Friends of Ide School. All of these changes have benefitted the children hugely.

Our next step is to buy a laptop trolley which will enable the teaching of Computing within classrooms. Whilst the computer suite is perfect for a shared computing area, we really need the ability to work in our classrooms so that children are able to access the interactive whiteboard, share laptops and have the space that they need to work comfortably. Our current set-up means that teaching an effective Computing lesson is very difficult. A charging laptop trolley will also mean that computers can be used across the curriculum which will support all children.

Our children have already undertaken a sponsored 'No Technology Day' to raise money, as organised by our Ide e-Cadets, and we have raised a huge £743.67! Wow! We still have £556.33 to go so please help us if at all possible.
