    Story

Incredible Edible Wakefield started off in 2010 as a small community group in Horbury but has since grown into a district wide volunteer led social enterprise.

We create Edible Community Gardens, Mini Allotment Plots and Communal Growing Spaces as well as running Edible Gardening Clubs and Help Us Grow sessions, helping people all over the district to have a go at growing their own food for the first time or to share their food growing knowledge.

Since we started in 2010 we have been turning unproductive land into community gardens and mini allotment plots so that more people can get access to space to have a go at growing their own food.

We now have mini allotment plots available across the District to give would be growers a chance to practice their skills whilst they are waiting for a full allotment plot to become available, or for those who only want a small plot.

We also run support and advice sessions for those needing a little help getting started growing their own food.

Help us create our next edible community garden by making a donations.
