Story
-Update-
I shared this post on facebook a couple of days ago and the support we received was overwhelming. I cannot thank you all enough for sharing my post, and trying to get the message to those who decided to set fire to my grandparents car.
So many of you got in touch with me requesting that I set up a page for people to be able to donate money for my grandparents.
My beautiful grandpa passed away in the afternoon on 6th February 2018, thankfully his passing was peaceful and he was surrounded by our family. Three years of suffering had finally come to an end. He was such an incredible man, always helping others wherever he could, and really living life the the max. I couldnt bring myself to put the photo of him so unwell as the photo for this page, so chose one from his 70th birthday. He will be forever in our hearts and memories.
When I spoke to my grandma about everyones response to the post, she cried. For despite the pain and worry the fire had caused, the unimaginable warmth she felt from you all was lifting.
The insurance does (luckily) cover the cost of buying a new car, and my post was to reach out those who had set fire to my grandparents car to let them know the pain and anguish it had caused our family, however if people would still like to donate money, I have set up this page to give back to the charity that were there for my grandparents, that ensured grandpa could pass away in the comfort of his home.
Lots of love,
Shelby

To the people who set fire to a blue VW in Biggleswade a couple of nights ago, I hope this reaches you.
I hope you enjoyed the adrenaline.
I wanted to show you who you affected when you thought it would be fun to set fire to a car. It was not just any car, but the car of my grandpa and grandma's. The car had a disabled badge on it.
My grandpa has aspestos cancer as well cancer in his lungs and spine.
The car you decided to burn, that's the car that my grandma drives my grandpa to the hospital in. You just took away that ability to take him to get his drugs and checkups.
I hope you enjoyed the adrenaline.
My grandpa is such a kind hearted man, always helped others and put people before himself. He will soon be leaving this world, leaving his wife and family. It may have just been a car to you, a bit of fun for you, but to them.. To him this was something his wife could to use when he was no longer around to help with the shopping bags, or drive her to appointments.
I hope you enjoyed the adrenaline
I want you to fully understand what you took away that night, what ripple affect reaction you had on my family. The worry and panic you put people through. All so you could have fun.
I hope you enjoyed the adrenaline.
