About us - Our Mission
iLift! Weightlifting Club is a new community club for the community of Launceston, Cornwall. We are a non-profit making organisation, run by volunteers. Our aim is to create a unique local sports & fitness club focused on weight lifting and free weights. To encouraging people of all abilities and gender, from all backgrounds of our community, to participate in the often unavailable realm of weight lifting. We have a passion for Olympic Weight Lifting (our Club is affiliated to British Weight Lifting) and offers anyone who wishes to try this, a forum where we teach and instruct these specific techniques. Our iLift! Weightlifting Club meet twice a week and has an affordable-to-all membership policy. This goes hand in hand with health, fitness and well-being as we involve general strength and conditioning classes around our club sessions. As a supporter of THIS GIRL CAN campaign we actively encourage women to come along and give it try!
We are fortunate enough to have been given access to hold our Club sessions at 2 locations in Launceston. But we still need our own equipment. So far we have a small collection of the very basics and we are eager to provide more! This JustGiving campaign target will help us buy further basic weight lifting equipment. This will mean we can enrol more members and the Club can grow.
Any donation however small, is hugely appreciated!
A big "THANK YOU!" from all the team and members at iLift! Weightlifting Club, Launceston.
