    Story

Pastor Bill Wilson is the founder of Metro World Child which is a ministry that is dedicated to serving boys and girls growing up in the roughest circumstances and environments around the globe, ministering to them through weekly Sunday School services, child sponsorships, special programs and personal home visits on a weekly basis. After approx. 30 years in this ministry, amongst other things, he still drives the Sunday school buses.

Frances Sutherland and I were invited by Bill Wilson in person while in Glasgow to join a team of 50. The cost of the mission is covered but we each need £600 to cover a return flight scheduled by Metro Ministries.

In Manila, whole communities live in the city’s garbage dumps or graveyards. It is heartbreaking to see children and their families searching for food among the garbage. Many of the children grow up without education because their parents cannot afford to send them to school.

Together with Metro Philippines we will be reaching out to impoverished and neglected through the Sunday School program, home visitation helping them practically. The children will be able to hear about and receive God’s free gift of salvation, some for the first time; and realize they have a hope and a future.

We would be extremely grateful for every pound raised.

This trip would enhance our skills and experience in reaching children and families in poverty in the UK.

    THANK YOU FOR YOUR GIFT!
