Forest Gate Mosque & Imam Zakariyyah Academy have been given permission to build this masjid.

The masjid currently runs a primary school, a maktab, an evening part-time Alimiyyah class that has 4 batches of graduates that are now serving the community, part-time classes for adults on Hifz, Fiqh, Aqidah and many more. On top of that the masjid provides community days for women and children.

So why is there a need for this extension. As you know many islamic primary schools are put under special measures for petty reasons, for example if there is a book that is misplaced or that the school does not have adequate facilities. What the masjid requires is a separate entrance and separate facilities for the school in order for it to meet the requirements of Ofstead. The masjid has included this in the plan above.

We may have a lot of masaajid in the locality but we don't have many schools and institutes that will protect our children and that provides for every individual person in that community whether young, old, working, studying, whatever situation you may find yourself there is something for you in this masjid. The masjid is also including facilities for women to provide education for our sisters, mothers and daughters.
