When Colin was first diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in November 2025, he was offered the chance to take part in some research (The GlycoDMI Brain Tumour Study (ISRTCN:74928868), headed by Professor Dorothee Auer, for which he didn't hesitate. He wanted to do something to help others avoid going through some of what he was about to.

For him, it was a little bit of light in some very dark times.
