So much of Arnold's life was spent making things better and improving other people's lives. He told us he didn't want flowers at his funeral and that instead he would like us to support two charities that were important to him.

Over the last 19 years Arnold spent so much time in the Friarage Hospital and he was always grateful for the care he received and the extra time he had with us as a result. As a family we really want to recognise everything that the staff at the Friarage did to ensure Dad could enjoy making more memories with us.

Arnold was part of the team that set up Northallerton Street Angels. It is a community initiative led by the New Life Baptist Church in Northallerton working alongside colleagues from North Yorkshire Police and Hambleton District Council’s CCTV Team. Street Angels help support and reassure those in need of help in the Northallerton town area.
