Story
My brother, Ben, was just 26 when his life was tragically cut short following an accident he had on his bike, whilst cycling to St Peter's Church in Reading on the evening of Monday 20th March, 2017.
Ben passed away at 11.15am, Wednesday 22nd March, 2017.
For a man in his mid-twenties, Ben had already packed in more to each day than someone three times his age. The bedrock for Ben was knowledge - an understanding that the more you know, the more of life you can enjoy. He didn't waste a second.

Ben was an incredible pianist and took great joy each time he played. Therefore, my family and I would like to raise an initial sum of £8,000 to go towards buying a Grand Piano in Ben's honour, which we will gift to the University of Reading. Upon the piano we'll inscribe Ben's name and a record to acknowledge those of you who made it possible.

We would be ever grateful for your help in raising enough money to achieve this goal, which we hope will not only remind others of Ben's life, incredible talents, achievements and wonderful, generous and kind personality, but would also inspire and present opportunity for them to master the keys themselves, in the hope that in decades to come, Ben's legacy will still be bringing as much joy to others' lives as he did to ours.
Thank you.

Since writing this, our family has learned of some incredible news. Ben, who signed up twice to the organ donor register, once in 2009 and again as recently as September 19th, 2016, was able to donate several organs and has saved 5 lives; including a baby girl, a boy in his teens and three gentlemen in twenties, forties and fifties.
