I've raised £5000 to supply reclining chairs to Royal Blackburn Hospital respiratory ward in memory of Ronnie Hill

Great Harwood legend, lifelong Blackburn Rovers FC supporter, dearly missed husband, dad, grandad, brother, uncle and friend.
Our beloved Ronnie passed away on 3rd December 2020 after a short spell in Royal Blackburn Hospital. During his stay on the respiratory ward, he found it really difficult to get comfortable wearing his oxygen mask; lying either flat in bed or sat upright in a bedside chair. The care Ronnie received from the nurses and staff at RBH is world class and we cannot thank them enough, though they agree that better chairs that could recline and be disinfected between patients would be a great help for anyone with similar symptoms.
We're hoping to supply as many of these 'Carson' chairs as possible, suggested by the ward staff...
We, his family would love to ease the suffering of future patients and therefore fund as many of these chairs as possible in Ronnie's memory - sadly the ones that are suitable for a ward environment don't come cheap at around £820 each, so we're asking for the help of his family, friends, fellow supporters and anyone who knew him for his cheeky smile, friendly nature and great sense of humour, to help us reach (and hopefully go beyond) our target.
