Story
I'm raising £1,500 to enable me to attend the Icelandic National Scouts Jamboree in summer 2026. I have been selected as one of the 36 Scouts representing Scotland at the International Jamboree in Hamrar, Iceland. There are expected to be 3000 young people in attendance and we will share our cultures and experiences at the scout campsite on top of the world. We will be strengthening our international friendships, building understanding between scouts form different nations while we develop our leadership skills, creativity and teamwork. We will take on exciting challenges to build our confidence, responsibility and knowledge. The theme of the camp is Due North and we will be exploring nature and environmental issues affecting our world as well as learning survival skills.
Whilst we are there we will be camping in the most northern scout campsite in the world, within the artic region.
As part of my commitment to attend I need to raise the money for the camp, my training, travel and equipment. To get into the spirit of the camp I will be camping out every night throughout February, regardless of the weather, and I would really appreciate your donation to enable me to attend this once in a lifetime event.
