I am a 3rd year Derby University Student that on the 24th January 2020, a group from my university course are going out to Kolkata in India to be involved in projects for improving their quality of life.

The projects we are taking part in include education with in the schools, the women’s empowerment project and also visiting a mental health institution. For those that know me well will know this trip is going to be massively out of my comfort zone and so challenging not to bring all the children home with me so I want to make it as worthwhile as possible!

I have set up a Just Giving page to help fund my trip and also to have enough funds to take some money over there to donate to these projects in order to enable them to be more established and continue the amazing work they are currently doing. I would appreciate it massively if anyone could donate, no matter how big or small, as it will make such a huge difference to these people’s lives and also enable me to go over and do my bit in helping these not as fortunate as us people.
