Story
In July 2019 my friends and I, a group of 11 young and enthusiastic students from Sir William Ramsay are going to be completing a challenging expedition to one of the most fascinating countries in the world, India. For 3 weeks, we will be building greenhouses for disadvantaged communities to help them grow crops and ensure a sustainable income for the farmers and their families. We will be staying with local families, learning authentic recipes from the village wives and teaching the young street kids English. This trip will unite us with people from all around the world whilst challenging us to the extreme.
Individually we all have to raise £3500 to cover every element of this trip - food, travel and equipment. As a group we have held many events to fundraise, some of these include: selling refreshments at school events, bag packing and organising discos. We have also fundraised money by ourselves by getting jobs, helping out at home or even hosting events.
Just by donating a small amount will help hugely with our fundraising. We are going on this trip to help the less fortunate and teach us valuable life skills, so even your donations will help change people lives forever. Thank you for reading and hopefully donating.
