My name is Indiana, and i'm 11. In the May half term I went to my local park. I was so excited to go and play with my brother and his friends, but when I got there, I was so disappointed. The park was neglected, run down and falling apart. I remembered the parks in my old village and the surrounding ones that were so much better. For many reasons it feels like Colney Heath is the forgotten village, and we the forgotten children.

I decided to do something about it and in July, after writing a letter to Colney Heath Parish Council, I was invited to give a presentation. It was scary but I knew I had to speak up for the kids of my village. The council loved my ideas, but told me they didn't have enough money to improve the park much beyond safety improvements at the moment, even though they want to. I feel this is such a shame, Colney Heath is a lovely village but there is nothing for the children and teens to do.

Please would you help me to make Colney Heath Park better for us? Even if it's just a pound? I would really appreciate your help.
