On 27th July Myself & Conor along with a group of others will walk the stairway to heaven in Fermanagh to raise funds for Downpatrick Autism Family Support Group. The group is ran by parents & get no official funding. Unfortunately many family receive very little support before or after an Autism diagnosis. Services are very limited & families are left feeling helpless. From its formation in 2017 the group has been able to bring various specialised activities to the area. We‘ve had music therapy, mindfulness, lego therapy, sibling programme etc along with many other fun days out. The group have also organised parent training & treats for parents such as yoga, complimentary therapies & cinema trips. We also run a monthly parent support group where you can get a cuppa & get some advice. In 2018 we started a saturday club that all the children love. 100% of all money raised will be spent directly on local families.
