Infostep Walking 19,000 miles - 42,212,000 steps

Infostep Challenge, a group of cyber security professionals from the U.K. and the U.S.A, have today announced their charity initiative of Infostep 2021. This initiative will see 25 volunteers commit to walking 19,000 miles, or about 42,212,000 steps, in the next 6 months.

We have chosen two charities very personal to the Infosec Community's hearts:

The Cyber Helpline

The Cyber Helpline, a free, confidential helpline for individuals who have been a victim of cyber crime. The Cyber Helpline helps individuals understand, contain, recover and learn from cyberattacks by linking them with security experts who provide relevant advice and guidance.

Innocent Lives Foundation

Ultimately, the goal of the Innocent Lives Foundation is to make the world safer for kids. Their team of volunteer technology specialists use OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) to identify predators who target children on the Internet, specifically to generate and distribute CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material). They work to provide law enforcement with the information they need to bring these predators to justice, so each dollar raised is used to assist law enforcement in unmasking child predators on the Internet.
