"Where should we go?" Vitali Klitchko asked on BBC Breakfast from the beleaguered city of Mariopul in Ukraine. "This our home."

In a blackened ruin or in a strange land, in unfamiliar territory, it's what we all look for. And want to feel. At home. And sometimes we need bridges to help us cross over from what has been left behind to whatever the future holds.

When I came.back to the UK from living and working in the former Eastern Bloc after the fall of the Berlin Wall, I remember heading straight for a fish & chip van. It was a bridge. A taste of home.

In food, where we share, remember, learn & connect, we rebuild memories. We rebuild a taste of home.
