I am planning on raising enough funds to help create WeCarePackages for the homeless across the Staffordshire area. Homelessness in Staffordshire may not be reported as widely as is the case in some of Britains bigger cities but it is still very much an issue which needs help and support to provide for these most vulnerable in our society.

I am looking for donations over the next few months to help to create 'InKnitTogether' Care Packages containing toiletries, water, plasters, snacks and for the colder months gloves, hand warmers, hats, scarves socks etc. In hopes of making these months a little bit warmer and a little bit easier.

I have a starting target of £250 - however of course the more donations received the more I people we can help. Every penny donated will be used extremely wisely and I will ensure the donations go as far as possible to help as many as possible.

I have friends, family & colleagues who have already committed to help with the knitting of hats, scarves & socks for the care packages with donated wool - ensuring The InKnitTogether WeCare Packages are off to a good start.

A bit about me and why I am doing this...

I have supported homeless women in the past helping to fundraise for sanitary products - another area of under funded help. This campaign was a great success and we helped a number of local organisations and food banks to provide sanitary products to those most in need.

I now want to help further and wider with this next campaign but as this has a bigger reach and more items required to reach my goal, I need a Little extra help with donations. That's where you guys hopefully come in on my 1st just giving page.

I feel homelessness is an area which needs more support and I am passionate about doing all I can individually to make whatever difference I can no matter how small that may be.
