I've raised £2000 to give Damien some time to grieve before he needs to worry about finding a job.

On Friday 18th of May, Damien lost his fiancee and partner of five years, Cherry. As if the devastation of losing her wasn't enough, he's now in financial crisis. Cherry was claiming ESA and housing benefit for both of them, and with her sudden passing Damien now has to worry about rent, bills, and their joint debts.
There may be benefits that can help, but while he tries to fight through his grief to apply for them and waits for a decision, he risks losing his home. It would take time to find a job paying well enough to cover the rent as it is, but the bereavement is still so fresh and Damien needs time to grieve without worrying about employment.
This fund is being raised to try and take some of the pressure off while Damien comes to terms with his loss. Any amount donated will help, and if we reach the goal it should just about cover two months rent.
