My best person left this world on 28th July. I’d like to remember him by making a whopping great donation to a local food bank.

There will be no funeral, as Cyril requested. He donated his body to medical science.

He was exceptionally brilliant. One in a million. Hated injustice. Knew all to well how poverty impacted on people.

He raged against the dying of the light. He and I agreed before he died that this is how he’d want to mark his death - no flowers, no fuss, just food.
