I've raised £3000 to In Memory Of Liam McGhee for Beautiful Inside and Out

The 27th March is Liam’s 16th birthday. Our first thought was to stay in a darkened room all day thinking
about happier times, looking at photos, of which we have hundreds, of a smiling cheeky chappie shedding
tears by the bucket load, sharing memories and stories. Instead we are going to try and be really positive
and make it an event to remember. To this end we have organised a fun run 3k/5k/walk/what ever you
fancy. Afterwards (if you still have any energy left) there will be music and drinks in Rock Diner and Aces
in Kilmarnock.
Liam Alan David McGhee was born on the 27th March 2003, he was a tiny baby only 6lbs! A wee angel,
his life was short, but he crammed plenty into it. He started school at Kirkstyle in Kilmarnock then onto
Bellfield, The Grange and Rathbone.
I think he would agree with me that school was not his favourite place and he was never going to be
very scholastic. By contrast he was very good at sport, playing The Grange and Kilmarnock Rugby Club
and excelling with his skateboard, bike and scooter where he spent many a weekend at EK
When he was struggling him and his Gran Mary would stand at the back door, it seemed
to calm him down, worked a treat.
Liam went missing on 27th August 2018, the whole family were distraught with worry. As parents our
worst nightmare was to become a reality when Liam died the following day the 28th August 2018. Time
will never heal the pain we are all going through and without our life’s are completely shattered.
Liam you leave behind your mum and dad who are completely heartbroken and an extended family who
loved you so m7ch. You picked us up when we were down, you made us happy when we were sad. You are
forever in our hearts and we are so proud to have called you son.
Jacqueline would like to thank everyone involved for their help and donations. Special thanks to Elaine and Barry at Rock Diner and Aces, to Toast and to Nikki Logan at Arnold Clark and to everyone who turned up on the day.
