Story
🐾 Max loved all animals but especially dogs as our house was/is always full of furry friends (Mum‘s job) He would bond with all of them and they instinctively seemed to take to him and trust him. He was the only person our dog, Toffee would really play like a puppy with (shes 11!) and they had a special connection. To honour and remember Max’s life It seems fitting to choose a charity that involves both dogs and humans, so we are fundraising to sponsor a medical assistance dog which may also help to further the incredible research into the ways that doggie superpowers can assist humans. If we raise at least £5000 then we also get to name the puppy and of course this puppy would be named .... Max! He’d be so chuffed!
🐾 We would be incredibly grateful for any donations towards our target 🐾

3 years agoWell within range now of smashing 10k target! I’ve got a stall at the local “makers market” in town next month and my brother and SiL are running their 6 peaks challenge on 18th July … their contribution will definitely get us there!

3 years agoThe Hawkeyed amongst you will have noticed that I’ve increased the target to £10k! This is because I am now confident it can be reached due to the efforts of my family later in the year ... Rob & Carly are running a 6 peaks challenge and Dad is busking in Ludlow with his singing group! I’ve also received an extremely significant donation from a local benefactor. Medical Detection Dogs have been very much in the news recently as they are being trained to detect Covid-19. The work of this charity has just become even more important! 🐾🐾

What a brilliant way to remember Max; tragically taken from us far too soon. It is lovely to think there will be Medical Assistant Dog with his name helping to save lives and spread happiness around.

Max Warr
Max was a funny, naughty, caring, slightly eccentric, individualistic, cheeky, lovable thirteen year old. He had his whole life ahead of him when it was sadly cut short due to complications after open heart surgery. He died in March 2020. Rest in Peace my precious son. 🕊
