I've raised £200 to help fund our production of The Intricate Art of Actually Caring

We're looking for some support to help cover the costs of bringing this New Zealand story to a London stage for the first time. The play follows two friends, Jack and Eli, as they embark on a road trip to Jerusalem or Hiruharama to visit the final resting place of James K. Baxter. Like the main characters in any good road trip story, they try to find themselves, debating the value of love, family and friendship along the way. However, what they discover about themselves, and one another, is more than they bargained for.
As well as telling a great story, we hope this play will introduce a UK audience to the breadth and variety of New Zealand culture. We would really appreciate any support from fellow Kiwis living in London, at home, or elsewhere.
We're working with the Hope Theatre, one of the only fringe theatres to work with Equity to ensure actors and stage managers are paid Equity Minimum Wages. This means this will qualify as a professional production, which is great for recent graduates, but of course incurs higher costs. We're also working with Playmarket, a New Zealand rights company, to bring the show to the London stage. Our rights agreement also means this production requires more expenditure than your average fringe theatre show.
We'd love to take this show to other venues after this first run, and we need your help to do it. Whatever you can spare would make a huge difference.
