I've stared this campaign with a good friend and for a really important cause - making dreams come true ..those of a group of children from rural Romania with little to no resources, but with amazing drive and talent. Here is their story:

4 teams qualified, 9 athletes and 10,000 EUR needed to get them there! The money will be spent on flights and accommodation for the 9 athletes and their teacher. They get no support from other organisations, or the administration of the village.

Let me tell you a bit about Ema, the teacher and wonderful force behind these children. Having finished her university studies, she came back to her home in Moldovita determined as hell to create something special here –to give these children a different kind of education and a world of opportunities! It’s not easy – if it were, anyone would do it! She set up the http://acsinvictus.ro/Invictus Moldovita where she trains children in cheer leading, modern dance, acro dance, Olympic wrestling and recently, trail running!

The results are excellent – there wasn’t a national competition that these children haven’t won…despite training conditions which are less than ideal and nowhere near European standards. During winter, children have to train in their outdoor wear due to the lack heating and when it’s really cold, there’s no training. For Acro Dance, for instance, we need specialised equipment in order to improve, but due to the lack of funds, we have to improvise. Nonetheless, every success, every win, every bit of progress is motivation for these children to work harder, to have the courage to achieve and overcome the fear of failure, or that they aren’t good enough.
