Invisible Army is crowdfunding
Weʼre raising £2,000 to shine a light on carers (unpaid) with photographs and words, ensuring every carer is seen and heard.

Story
Invisible Army (Community Interest Company) started in Autumn 2019 aiming to represent the current landscape of unpaid care. The body of work consists of documentary photography and long-form interviews. The studies are intimate, concentrated on the everyday lives of people who are caring for someone with an illness and/or disability on an emotional, social, and financial level. We have now collected 35 stories which we exhibited in Bristol.
Your kind donations will go towards us collect some of the other 7 million carers' stories in the UK. We hope to continue to provide the opportunity for invisible people to become visible. Through the eye-opening conversations we have learnt this project is necessary. Carers are often isolated and hold a lot of shame potentially due to the wider community and their local councils not appreciating them, and the stigma.
We give carers the opportunity to explore their own story and empower them by creating art to share with you!

1 year agoThank you to Annette, her mum and daughter for taking part in Invisible Army - Stories of Carers (Unpaid) We are in the process of applying for a grant to continue collecting stories and exhibit them. Carers deserve to be seen, listened to and appreciated. We have made connections with Central Library and The Galleries in Bristol, Swindon Council and Gloucester Young Carers and hope to work with them on our march for Carers' recognition. Any contribution will be welcome. Thank you from Tina and Carina
