I've raised £40000 to help 17 year old Iona Somerville become the youngest Scottish Female to ski to the North Pole!

Iona Somerville is 17 years old from Edinburgh and is studying Sports Therapy at Edinburgh College. Iona's ambition is to become the youngest Scottish female to ski to the North Pole.
Iona's journey started when she was just 14 years old and was selected by The Polar Academy, a charity set up by Craig Mathieson, Scotland's Explorer in Residence. Teenagers are selected to train and to take part in an Arctic Expedition to Greenland which was completed in April 2016. Iona and the rest of the team have then went on to talk to thousands of other school children to inspire their peers.
There is a huge amount of training involved to prepare for such a journey over if Iona is to reach her goal. These funds would get her to the North Pole as it takes is a massive £40,000 to raise to get her there. Iona will be doing a series of fund raising events to help raise the money needed.
Iona would love to go on to inspire others and make people see that anything is possible.
