Story

As followers have been informed, Kay has made a really tough decision to temporarily close the rescue to allow much needed renovations and improvements to take place. She would like to be able to open again fully with better adequate facilities ASAP but currently struggling with sufficient funds to be able to make all the changes that are needed.
A few of the things funds are needed for are;
-New adequate vet cages. (These can come in at around 1k each - 5k+ for a small unit)
-New roofing on aviaries
-Upgrades to current aviaries and potentially more.
-Drainage and substrates
-Storage

These are just a few of the things funds will help towards.

As you know, Kay is a highly dedicated bird rescue, who wants nothing but great suitable care facilities for the birds. For so long she has been "making do" and building what she can, when she can, with what she can, but she's now in a position where she needs to change that. There was around 3000 birds brought into care over 2020, Kay would like to get things back up and running ASAP so she can get back to running the rescue that she dedicates so much time, money, love and effort towards.
Kay doesn't get paid to run the rescue, it's literally run on love, personal funds, sometimes meaning she goes without food etc, and public donations.

Please help if you can, every penny helps.

Thank you so much in advance.

Please note the IOW wild bird rehabilitation rescue is not a registered charity, all purchases will be accounted for and proof given.

I have set up this fundraiser to help a cause I believe in, I have witnessed first hand, the time, money and effort put into the running at the rescue.

Kay was previously advised by the charity commissioners not to register as a charity and just continue as a member of the public doing what she loves to help the birds. She doesn't have the resources or means needed to become a charity and therefore can receive donations at the publics wish to donate.
