Story

I am the Occupational Therapist at Chiltern Wood school in High Wycombe, working with children with complex physical needs. We are always fund raising and our next target is to raise around £30,000 for ceiling track hoists to be fitted throughout the school. Many of our pupils need to use hoists for safe and easy transfers e.g. from the floor into their chair, from chair onto a changing table and in and out of the swimming pool. Mobile hoists are cumbersome and time consuming and do not always fit where they need to (our pupils sometimes like to get themselves into tricky positions!) so ceiling track hoists would be a huge benefit to both staff and pupils.

I am going to be taking part in the Isle of Wight Ultra challenge in May 2021 - this is a 106km continuous walk around the Isle of Wight, so I will be walking through the day and night! I am expecting many blisters! Please dig deep lovely people.

Thanks, Rosie x
