As of May 2025, Isla has shown remarkable resilience through her Rapid Cojec phase, enduring 8 rounds of chemotherapy every 10 days. Despite her strength throughout, medical scans revealed active cancer spots post-induction treatment, necessitating an additional regimen of combined chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This was 4 additional rounds of chemotherapy alongside the immunotherapy. Isla has also undergone multiple attempts for stem cell harvesting and procedures like ovary cryopreservation and a gastric tube placement.
Unfortunately, due to the challenging location of her primary tumor, a kidney removal will be required when it is time to remove the tumour. As a result, our team opted for tandem high-dose chemotherapy starting January 2026. As of March 2026, she is navigating through her second round of high-dose treatment alongside a second stem cell transplant. In just 6 days, Isla’s little body has received 17 rounds of chemotherapy. It’s unbelievable. Isla's journey continues in protective isolation as she receives supportive care following her stem cell transplant.
We deeply appreciate all the support we've received during this difficult time and promise to provide updates as we move forward with the next stages in her treatment plan.
